Dr. Conlee served as Executive Director of the Western States Communication Association (1996-2001). She served as an Associate Editor for Western Journal of Communication and Communication Reports. Her research focuses on the relationship between physicians and patients. She has done some software development in the area of computer-based training and in small group analysis. In her spare time, she volunteers as a member of the National Ski Patrol.
