Out of State Tuition Waivers

The university provides a limited number of tuition waivers to defer the costs of out-of-state tuition are available for U.S. graduate students who are non-California residents. Teaching Associates Program

The department provides the option for enrolled Communication M.A. students to be employed as teaching associates. Qualifications for an associateship include previous records of outstanding achievement in academic work, outstanding subject matter competence in Communication, and the special qualities necessary to the duties assigned. These associateships are awarded competitively. The exact number of positions available vary each year. The Communication M.A. program currently has two types of associateships: Graduate Teaching Associateship (GTA) and Forensics Teaching Associateship (FTA).
