Our Services

The Writing Center is a service provided by the university that is here to support you with reading and writing and language tasks that you engage with for your other classes. We have two different options to help you, as you can see below: small group, semester long tutoring and one on one tutoring. 

In both options, our tutors can help you with many things, including, but not limited to: 

• Managing stress about writing / writer's block
• Scheduling time / making priorities around writing assignments
• Brainstorming ideas
• Getting started on a prompt
• Organizing and revising writing
• Understanding evaluation criteria / disciplinary genres
• Providing audience feedback on drafts  
• Helping with understanding readings or selecting quotes
• MLA / APA /Chicago style guidelines
• Helping you to proofread your paper
