About Crete
Fresno State CRETE is an evidence program funded by the United States Department of Education, the JAMS Foundation, the George Gund Foundation, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. The CRETE program hosted at Fresno State is dedicated to providing resources and training in conflict resolution education to pre-service and in-service teachers and educators in the Central Valley.
Since 2004, CRETE has trained over 4500 teachers in conflict resolution education and has partnered with over 30 colleges and universities in the United States. CRETE has also provided education and resources to educators and organizations in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Research shows that CRETE helps educators and students gain confidence in the domains of conflict resolution and social and emotional learning that improve educational outcomes. CRETE has partnered with over 30 colleges and universities in the United States and has been used to train international educators in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
