Department of Linguistics
Degrees and Programs
The Linguistics Department offers:
- B.A. in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies
- B.A. in Chinese (CSU Consortium Degree with San Francisco State)
- M.A. in Linguistics and TESOL
The department also offers a variety of minors and undergraduate and graduate certificates in TESOL/SLAT.
General Education Linguistics Credit
The following courses will meet General Education requirements: ARAB 1A, CHIN 1A, HMONG 1A, JAPN 1AB, PERS 1A, LING 10 (Area 3B, formerly Area C); LING 30 (Lifelong Understanding and Self-developing L/S, formerly Area E); LING 115, 130, 138 (Area UD3, formerly Integration IC); LING 147 (Multicultural/International MI).
