Kenneth Balint

Kenneth Balint has worked professionally as a choreographer, dancer and dance educator throughout the United States. He is currently a Professor within the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Fresno. His MFA is from Arizona State University where he was awarded the University Graduate Fellowship, the Regents Graduate Academic Fellowship and the Graduate Assistant Scholarship. He received his BFA with honors from the Jacksonville University in Florida.

A lifelong supporter of the dance Kenneth’s extensive performing career has included work with the Hartford Ballet, Omaha Ballet, Princeton Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater, Ballet Arizona, Dance Alive! where he also was a choreographer in residence, and the Demetrius Klein Dance Company of south Florida. His choreography ranges from classical ballet to technology inspired Performance Art.

Kenneth’s life path of dance training, performing professionally and finally teaching at the University level has been a dream come true. A devout but somewhat cynical idealist, Kenneth believes that dance is both impactful and measurable and that equity must be furthered and fostered within all of the arts. Only with those ideals intact will our diverse community of artists, educators and audiences be served in a way that is meaningful and just.
