The Master of Arts in Music program at Fresno State is designed to increase the candidate's professional competence, to increase the ability for continued self-directed study, and to provide an opportunity for greater depth in the chosen area of emphasis within the field of music.

Admission Criteria
All applicants to the M.A. Music programs must submit academic transcripts and perform an audition or interview with the appropriate faculty members. An overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required. All applicants must also submit a personal statement, writing sample, and submit three letters of recommendation. Please see the University Catalog for more information.
