Music, education, and community outreach come together to provide a window to the musical world to all Fresno State students and the Central Valley.  Our internationally recognized faculty and performing ensembles, world-class concerts, esteemed guest artists, and music lectures seek to engage all of our audiences in an immersive musical experience, exploring what it means to be “human” through the aesthetics and community experience of music.

Concerts: We offer more than 100 annual public performances

• World Music Concerts and Lectures

Ensembles: Open to all Fresno State Students from all majors and to the community at large

• Large Ensembles: Bulldog Marching Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Orchestra
• Small Ensembles: Bulldog Beat, Chamber Singers, Clendenin Brass Quintet, Flute Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Horn Ensemble, Jazz Band "B", Keyboard Ensemble, Masterworks Chorus, New Music Ensemble, Opera Theatre, Percussion Ensemble, President's Woodwind Quintet,
  String Ensembles, University Singers

Community Outreach: Throughout the year the School of Music actively engages with over 10,000 young musicians and members of our community through collaborative and educational events

• Festivals: Sutherland Wind Festival, Choral Festival, Cello Fresno, Double Reed, Flute, Guitar, Central California Percussion, Sierra Cup Classic, Violin and Viola, Community Choir, Youth Orchestras of Fresno, Fresno Opera and Orchestra Summer Academy (FOOSA)

• International Student Body
• The School of Music has over 40 Endowed Scholarships providing over $200,000 annual scholarships to support students
• State and national recognition for placing the best music teachers throughout California
• Students continue to prestigious schools and careers around the world
