After graduate school, I spent three years working in Alaska for the Anchorage Times, editing the weekly entertainment section. From there, I moved to The Fresno Bee, where I worked for more than 25 years. My job titles included features copy editor, features reporter, movie critic, and, for the final 16 years, cultural arts reporter and critic. In 2017 I took a buyout from The Bee and started a non-profit arts website, The Munro Review. I cover local arts funding, theater, classical music, visual art, dance, the literary arts, movies, travel and more. In conjunction with the Community Media Access Collaborative, which acts as my website’s non-profit fiscal sponsor, I host a monthly arts talk show on the CMAC channel.
