Inês Lima (Ph.D., University of Massachusetts Dartmouth) is Assistant Professor of Portuguese in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at California State University, Fresno. Her research focuses on the study of contemporary poetry in Portuguese from an ecocritical and queer perspective, in particular the work of the Portuguese poet Ana Luísa Amaral. Her research interests also include postcolonialism, migration and intertextuality in Luso-Afro-Brazilian poetry and fiction. Her latest book chapter on Ana Luísa Amaral’s queer ecopoetics awaits publication in an edited volume published by Peter Lang. At Fresno State, she has been serving as the Coordinator of the Portuguese Studies Program since 2018.
