Mason Lamb is a multifaceted composer, orchestrator, guitarist, vocalist, conductor,
and instructor with an M.A. and B.A. from Fresno State University. His compositions,
known for their rhythmic originality and memorable melodies, draw from his extensive
performance experience across genres and countries, including England, Australia,
and Brazil. Recognized for his technical proficiency and expressive playing, he has
established himself as a virtuosic guitarist.
Mason has taught music composition, arranging, orchestration, and guitar at Fresno
State since Spring 2023 and guitar at Madera South High School during the 2019-20
school year. This semester, he will be teaching Guitar, Music Appreciation, and directing
the Community Orchestra at Reedley College. His notable projects include serving as
the Score and Technical Director for the world premiere of For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story at the Arsht Center in Miami, Florida, and having his compositions performed at prestigious
venues like The Walt Disney Concert Hall.
In addition to his teaching and performing, Mason's recent roles include Music Director
for the musical Once at CenterStage Productions, Technical Director for the 100th anniversary of Safety Last! at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and contributing to projects with the Orquesta
Sinfónica de Puerto Rico.
In his spare time, Mason enjoys road cycling and tinkering with electronics. He resides
in Clovis, CA, with his family.
