College Convocation Expectations
Convocation and graduation ceremonies at Fresno State symbolize the culmination of many years of hard work. It is a time for you, your family and friends to recognize and celebrate your success!
We ask for your help in making these ceremonies a positive experience for everyone. Misconduct by even a few would be disturbing to the graduates, faculty, and guests who expect and deserve a safe, orderly, and dignified ceremony.
All Fresno State Commencement and graduation ceremonies are alcohol and drug-free events and a zero-tolerance for disorderly behavior will be strictly enforced. Fresno State is also a smoke, vape, and tobacco-free campus. Graduates and guests will not be permitted to carry alcoholic beverages into ceremony sites or consume them there.
Students who are intoxicated or disruptive will not be allowed in the ceremony venue or will be escorted from the ceremony.
Please help us make the College of Arts and Humanities Convocation and the University Commencement Ceremony an event to remember with celebration and honor!

Grad Fest 2019
The Fresno State Alumni Association's Grad Fest celebration event is the largest two-day event for students, taking place on March 12 and 13. The annual Grad Fest Celebration is the official kick-off event to all things graduation! It's an opportunity for students to purchase and pick up their cap, gown and official keepsake Grad Box! This event provides our graduating students an opportunity to connect with on-campus and off-campus sponsors and vendors that can help them prepare for graduation as well as life after college.
A representative from the College of Arts and Humanities will be available each day of Grad Fest from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to answer questions regarding the Convocation for the College of Arts and Humanities. The representative will also have the stoles available for sale at this event.
Pre-order Grad Boxes will be available soon
